He is regularly briefed in matters involving commercial disputes, trusts, wills and estates, family provision claims, real property, corporations law, professional negligence and building and construction disputes. His practice combines deep technical expertise with extensive courtroom experience across a broad range of commercial and equitable proceedings.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Terry served as an officer in the Australian Army, worked as a diplomat with the Department of Foreign Affairs and was employed within the petroleum industry. These experiences contribute to a broad commercial perspective that informs his approach to complex disputes.
Terry has also made significant contributions to the legal profession through committee service, legal education and publishing, including editing the Butterworths District Court Practice and serving on the District Court Rules Committee.
