Kate trained as a pharmacist before studying law and her undergraduate degree is in chemistry. She appears regularly in all types of Federal and State criminal litigation, including jury trials, appeals, fitness hearings, and crime commission proceedings, as well as common law disputes particularly where liability is contested.
Kate is a Teaching Fellow in Evidence Law at UNSW, and on the criminal law barristers’ indictable panel for the NSW Legal Aid Commission..  She was previously a Registered Trade Marks Attorney and worked as a Hearings Officer in the Trade Marks tribunal.
Kate has a general practice that includes proceedings and appeals arising from historical abuse, criminal allegations, appeals, judicial review, torts, common law and coronial inquiries (including for persons of interest), as well as administrative law.
