John Gleeson KC

He was called to the Bar in June 1966 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in November 1989. Mr Gleeson KC was a highly distinguished Silk, with his achievements and service to the profession recognised by the NSW Bar Association.

He has extensive experience in personal injury litigation and has acted on behalf of insured interests for all major insurers operating in Australia. Mr Gleeson KC has specialist knowledge of issues concerning coal mine litigation and has appeared on behalf of all major employers operating in the coal industry. Mr Gleeson KC also has extensive practical knowledge with respect to litigation concerning motor accidents and workplace accidents. He practices generally in the areas of civil appeals, common law, personal injury, coronial and other inquiries, professional negligence and insurance.

Mr Gleeson KC now acts as a mentor to younger members of the Bar.
