Prior to joining the Bar, Dominic practised as a solicitor for six years, developing extensive experience in personal injury and criminal litigation. Since commencing practice as a barrister, he has built a highly regarded practice acting in matters involving medical negligence, professional negligence, major personal injury claims, intentional torts, public liability disputes and insurance litigation.
Dominic appears regularly at both trial and appellate level and is recognised for his breadth of experience across multiple jurisdictions and areas of law. He has appeared in matters involving the application of interstate and foreign law and frequently appears in courts outside New South Wales, particularly within the Australian Capital Territory.
His appellate experience includes appearances as lead counsel in significant appeals, including the High Court of Australia decision in State of New South Wales v Robinson [2019] HCA 46, a leading authority concerning police powers of arrest.
Recognised for his versatility, strategic advocacy and depth of experience, Dominic is regularly briefed in complex disputes requiring sophisticated legal analysis across a diverse range of practice areas.
