David regularly advises plaintiffs and defendants in defamation matters.
Prior to coming to the Bar, David was a Senior Associate at Banki Haddock Fiora, one of Australia’s leading media and intellectual property law firms. He practised nationally in defamation and media law, acting for major media organisations and high profile individuals in a number of State and federal courts.
David also practises broadly across all areas of common law, including intentional torts, work injury damages, motor accidents, public liability, product liability, statutory insurance and medical negligence.
David holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Sydney, where he studied under a Chancellor’s Award Scholarship and received a number of academic prizes.
Recognised for his strong academic background and specialist media law experience, David brings a contemporary and commercially focused perspective to litigation and dispute resolution.
