David is regularly engaged in matters involving statutory interpretation and the development of the law, appearing in disputes that raise significant legal, regulatory and public law issues. His practice combines extensive trial and appellate experience, with a particular focus on identifying and resolving complex legal questions across a broad range of jurisdictions and subject areas.
David appears in courts throughout Australia, including the High Court of Australia and the Federal Court of Australia. He has also been granted ad hoc admission in the Republic of Nauru.
David has contributed extensively to the profession through leadership and service within the New South Wales Bar Association. He currently serves as Chair of the Common Law Committee and on a Professional Conduct Committee. He has previously served as Chair of the Human Rights Committee.
