Called to the Bar in 2004, Alex has developed a highly specialised practice involving complex dust diseases, toxic exposure and catastrophic injury claims. He is regularly engaged in expedited litigation requiring strategic advocacy and careful management of highly sensitive matters.
In addition to his specialist practice, Alex appears in common law, insurance, institutional abuse, medical negligence and public liability matters. He is widely recognised for his expertise in complex causation issues, medical evidence and large-scale compensation litigation.
Alex regularly presents at legal and medical conferences and contributes significantly to the development of dust diseases jurisprudence. He serves as a Contributions Assessor in the Dust Diseases Tribunal of New South Wales and is the sole barrister member of the Dust Diseases Tribunal Rule Committee established under the Dust Diseases Tribunal Act 1989 (NSW).
